One time, I used Reiki to heal my cell phone. True story.
In January 2020, I was in Florida helping my mom and her husband get into an assisted living facility. I was there for about three weeks. It was a very stressful three weeks. At the end of it I decided to join my brother and his family for a few days at Disney World. I just needed to have a fun few days at the end of this trying trip – and what’s more fun than hanging out with your niece and nephew?
The night before I drove up to Orlando from Palm Beach Gardens, I plugged in my ancient (at least 5 years old) iPhone 6 to charge. In the morning, as I getting ready for my three hour drive, I see that the cell phone did not charge and was practically dead. I grew up in Florida and knew how to get to Disney World, so that wasn’t the problem. The problem was I needed the phone to text my brother and meet up with him when I got to the park.
I didn’t know why the phone hadn’t charged. I’d used the same outlet to charge the phone earlier. My rental car had a USB port for charging, so I wasn’t too worried at first. I packed up what I needed and got into the car to head out. I plugged the phone in and… nothing. No bloopy sound, no battery icon turning green with a little lightning bolt. Nothing. Insert expletive here.
I unplugged the phone and turned it off to conserve what juice was left. I just needed enough battery power to send one text when I got to the park.
Right after I got on the highway, with the mobile on the middle console and left hand on the steering wheel, I placed my right hand over the phone and started to give it Reiki. I could feel the tingly energy and heat in the palm of my hand as I drove north. I let Reiki flow. I figured, no matter what, I wouldn’t be any worse off.
After about forty minutes or so, I pulled into a rest stop to use the facilities. Coffee… yummy but maybe not the best choice a the beginning of a road trip. When I got back into the car, I plugged the phone into the USB port and – voila! Bloopy sound! Green charging battery icon! And the battery was already at about 40% charged!
I was thrilled! I’d be able to contact my brother when I got to the park, take pictures, and actually find my way to the AirBnB I was staying at that night. You know that scene in The Blues Brothers when they are in the church and James Brown and the choir are singing and the ray of light comes down from the Heavens and illuminates John Belushi and he shouts, “I see the Light!” and starts doing all those acrobatic flips. That’s kinda how I felt at that moment.
Reiki fixed my phone and saved the day! I got to hang out with my niece and nephew, take lots of great pics and alleviate the stress of the last three weeks with fun family time. Thanks Reiki!
